The first X-Men movie and X2: X-Men United were smash hits at the box office that brought characters like Wolverine, Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, Storm and more into the mainstream. But when Bryan Singer stepped away for the third movie and left things in the hands of Brett Ratner– things took a turn. X-Men The Last Stand is seen as one of the worst entries in the X-Men franchises and definitely had fans scratching their heads over some questionable decisions. Why did Cyclops die so unceremoniously? Why didn’t Wolverine try the cure on Jean? Why did so many characters either die or lose their powers?
