The Only Way Is Essex icon Amy Childs has addressed her return to the reality TV show alongside daughter Polly.
Now, in conversation with new magazine, Childs has opened up about the 29th series, which premiered yesterday (September 12) on ITVBe.
“We filmed in Sandbanks a couple of weeks ago, we had the best time,” she began, before teasing: “With TOWIE, you’re always going to get a little bit of drama. But obviously, I can’t tell you too much gossip.”
On the casting cull, Childs commented: “There is now about 12 cast on the show. What they’ve done, I think they’ve halved the cast.
“They want to get into our real lives now, they want to know everything about us.”
Childs believes this revised approach will please long-time fans of TOWIE, adding: “I think it’s going to work really well, it’s definitely a different concept now and I’m just so excited for you all to see it.”
Meanwhile, the former Celebs Go Dating contestant went on to reveal she’s “proud” of bringing her youngster onto the show that made her name.
“I love it! I’ve got Polly on the show that made me successful and now I’ve got my daughter on it, I feel proud,” she added.
“TOWIE has always been a part of my life, and I always thought about when the right time is to go back and this is so the right time. I’m older and I’m the mum of the show.”
