Sky has officially announced that season three of Succession will premiere on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV from Monday, October 18, 2021.
Telling fans what they can expect from the hotly-anticipated new episodes, the synopsis reads: “Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of season two, Logan Roy begins season three in a perilous position. Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”
This new season was previously delayed because of Covid-19 filming restrictions, but production was finally able to begin in November 2020.
The trailer, which dropped in July, teased fractures in the Roy family deepening after the season two finale bombshell, which saw Logan Roy (Brian Cox) betrayed by his son Kendall (Jeremy Strong) who through Logan under the bus for major misconduct.
The usual cast will all be back for season three, including Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin and Hiam Abbass.
Previous season regulars Justine Lupe, David Rasche and Fisher Stevens have all been promoted for the upcoming season to have more central roles in the narrative.
Lupe plays former escort and Connor Roy’s girlfriend Willa Ferreyra. Rasche portrays Karl, a Waystar Royco Chief Financial Officer and a member of the company’s legal team. Stevens plays another Waystar Royco employee, Hugo Baker.
Previously, a few new faces were announced for the third season, including Peaky Blinders‘ Adrien Brody, Big Little Lies‘ Alexander Skarsgård and Your Honor star Hope Davis.
They will be joined by other new additions, Sanaa Lathan (Now You See Me 2) as Lisa Arthur, a well-connected New York lawyer, Linda Emond (The Big Sick) as Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven, a senior White House aide, and singer-turned-actress Jihae as Berry Schneider, a PR executive.
