Killing Eve star Jodie Comer says show is “keeping options open”

by zaib055

Killing Eve may be wrapping up with its upcoming fourth season, but it may not be the last time we see Villanelle after all.

At least that’s what Jodie Comer has hinted at, with the star suggesting show bosses aren’t completely closed to the idea of continuing in some form.

Appearing on today’s (September 15) This Morning, the actress was pressed on the idea of doing a movie by co-host Phillip Schofield, who asked whether the idea had ever been floated.

“I don’t think so,” she admitted, adding: “I think they’re kind of keeping their options open, like who knows what the future holds.

“But for sure the thing I will miss the most is not having to apologise – all the mischief I get away with, there’s something so fun about that!”

Comer also described the idea of the show ending as “surreal”, admitting: “We just want to make sure we end it on a good note that’s satisfying for the audience but is also truthful to the characters.”

The actress spoke to Digital Spy last month about the “bittersweet” ending, suggesting she will get emotional when they do the final take.

“I definitely had a moment where I looked at the clapperboard the other day before doing a take and I was like, ‘Oh God’. I was thinking about the moment when that’s going to be the last take, I felt a little bit emotional,” she recalled.

Killing Eve‘s final season, which will see Comer reunite with Sandra Oh (Eve Polastri), is expected to air next year.

Killing Eve airs on BBC America in the US, and BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
