RuPaul’s Drag Race has had a new episode of (at least) one of its many instalments premiering almost every single of this week so far.
We’re currently having a few weeks off following the end of All Stars 6 and before the beginning of UK series 3, but yet another series is starting up a few weeks after that.
Canada’s Drag Race is returning for its second run on October 14, and the spin-off has announced the cast of both queens and judges.
First of all, Brooke Lynn Hytes is returning to the panel, with Canadian fashion personality Brad Goreski and The Handmaid’s Tale‘s Amanda Brugel joining her as judges.
Meanwhile, there are 12 new queens competing for the crown, including three-time Québec’s Drag Artist of the Year winner Adriana, Vancouver’s Next Drag Superstar semi-finalist Beth, Miss Angel City Continental Plus 2021 titleholder Eve 6000, and Gia Metric, Vancouver’s Entertainer of the Year 2016 and Vancouver’s Next Drag Superstar 2018.
Ottawa queen Icesis Couture is mix of El Salvadorian and Hispanic heritage, while biracial queen Kendall Gender uses her platform to raise money for minority groups. Kimra Amour is both a queen, an award-winning carnival costume designer and frontline nurse during the pandemic, while Océane Aqua-Black speaks multiple languages and has been crowned the best lip-syncer in Québec.
Pythia is a queen hailing from Greece, works as a costume designer and has caught the eye of Miley Cyrus, Stephanie Prince comes from the Philippines and is known for her lip-syncs, while Suki Doll is aiming to represent the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
Finally, Synthia Kiss has been competing in dance competitions since she was a child, and has a degree in Fashion Design.
What a talented bunch!
Essentially, we’ve got a lot of queens with a lot of titles under their belt, but which one of them will become Canada’s Next Drag Superstar, and who will get the Porkchop of the series?
Canada’s Drag Race season 2 will be airing exclusively in the UK on WOW Presents Plus.
